The years between 3 and 5 are some of the most important in a child's development. At Goldfields Child Care Centre, we're expanding our focus on this age group — building a stronger, more intentional school readiness program that prepares children not just academically, but holistically.

School readiness isn't about drilling letters and numbers. It's about confidence. It's about a child who walks through those school gates feeling like they belong — curious, capable, and ready to learn.

Our Kinder Way educators work intentionally to build the whole child — not just their academic readiness, but their emotional, social, and physical development. These are the skills that research consistently shows predict long-term success in school and life.

Transition support

The big move to school — we prepare for it together.

Starting school is a big moment for children and families alike. Our educators work closely with families in the lead-up to the transition — sharing observations, discussing readiness, and helping children feel excited rather than anxious about what's ahead.

We also connect with local schools and participate in transition programs where possible, so children arrive on day one with familiar faces and a sense of belonging already in place.

Confidence

Children leave us believing in themselves. That self-belief is the most important thing we can give them.

Independence

Managing their own bag, their own routine, their own emotions — we build these skills gradually and deliberately.

Belonging

Every child deserves to feel like they fit in. We build that sense of belonging here, so they carry it with them.
